Client Testimonial/Statements
If you want a massage out of heaven, then Kathy Knight is the lady to see!
I met Kathy at a women veterans retreat at Wiawaka Holiday House on the shores of Lake George in the Adirondacks of New York State, where she was our massage lady! It is an understatement when I say that this lady has magic fingers because I had 15 minutes with her, all the time of which I was literally melting into the chair, and, when the time was up, I did not want to remove myself from that chair! I felt so loose and so relaxed after that massage; words cannot describe what Kathy can do to your psyche through the work of her hands! I had the opportunity to have a conversation with Kathy under the stars on the dock on the shore of Lake George that weekend, and can testify to the fact that she is a wonderful person as well, who genuinely cares about her clients! If you want a special massage experience, then Kathy Knight is the lady to whom to go!

This was my very 1st massage...
during Wiawaka Women Vet Retreat 2010. All the tenseness and stress just floated away. Better than psych meds and talks! Wish VA would make this part of the healing process! Kathy has angel hands that God must have sent for this special time in our life. Thank you. At the VA Massage Events, Kathy was doing one of the booths. When I realized this, I told all my coworkers and my supervisor to come and get her massage, as well as me! Comments from coworkers were unbelievable. They agree with me that you were so great...

Kathy Knight's credentials read that she is a licensed massage therapist;
what they do not say is...
that her hands touch the person deep inside with love and healing in that emotional center where real healing begins. I have seen people suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional and physical disorders, leave one of Kathy's treatments with smiles where there were none and with a visible lightness that had not been there before. One person said, with a sigh, she had been touched with love. Kathy's gift is healing!

I'm a nurse in a pain treatment center.
I see people who deal with many forms of chronic pain. Often there is little that a doctor can do to help relieve pain symptoms for long periods of time. People with chronic pain exhibit many emotional symptoms as well. As a nurse, I spend what little time allotted, allowing my clients to vent their feelings regarding how pain has affected all aspects of their life. Then we talk about how to deal with issues of chronic pain and how it can be like living with diabetes or any other potentially debilitating condition. Chronic pain, it's physical and emotional impact can be managed by utilizing alternative pain relief modalities other than pain meds and steroid injections. Both of which can cause dependence and untoward side effects over time. Massage is at the top of my list. Biofeedback, swimming and physical therapy next. While at home in Vermont, I was so blessed to be rejoined with my dearest friend. We met for breakfast and talked for hours. I found out she had her massage license and an office in town. I explained that I always tell my clients to get a massage to ease pain, increase blood flow, and release the lactic acids from the miserable areas of muscular pain. However, I can only recall the time someone tried to massage my shoulders and I was so tight that the 15 minute massage left me with more pain. Kathy said, " how about Monday, I'll do a 45min to one hour massage." Well, now I understand the real benefit of a professional massage. The calmness of the room. The aroma therapy of the candle. The warmth of the massage table and blankets. The warm pressure of the little sand bags were just the beginning of a very positive, overdue experience. The feel of strong, but gentle massaging hands, with just the right oils, released an incredible amount of tension in my muscles. Though she found a really tight muscle in my neck that hurt a little at first, she was able to quiet it with gentle pressure and tiger balm. Some more gentle pressure, massage and having me do some slow stretching helped the muscle release like I haven't felt in years since my neck surgery. That night and since, I'm able to move my neck side to side with only occasional lock up. I'm still able to roll my body in bed with minimal pain. During the massage Kathy let me talk, she was mostly listening, often saying " just relax." I couldn't help get lost in the smells of the oils and the sense of relaxation that my body was capable of feeling. When Kathy was finished with my massage she said, "Take your time getting dressed." She was right. My body was so relaxed I just wanted to lay there. WOW! I wish I was staying in Vermont. I'd be back every week until all the kinks were gone. Then I'd return on a monthly basis just for the incredible sense of wellbeing the experience gave me. She suggested that I find someone when I get to Fairbanks. I really now know how wonderful it made me feel. I know it can't be Kathy, but I'll take her advice. I can also say every doctor should refer a person with chronic pain or stress related issues to Kathy. Even if you don't have chronic pain, it would be a wonderful thing to do for yourself, just to release the stresses of wear and tear. I can now truly explain to my clients the benefits of massage therapy. I can only hope to find the right massage therapist. I am currently looking into a yoga class and they also have massage and meditation available. Thank you for your gift of touch. :)

I had never let anyone touch me before...
Though I am sincerely grateful to be alive and upright since severe scoliosis required intense corrective surgery at an early age, it has presented many challenges that increased over time. Pain had become a familiar presence in my Life, and with multiple rods, implants and fusions, I had been left with few options. After decades of pharmaceuticals had taken their toll, I turned to energy medicine for relief quite some time ago, although my rigid frame prevented me from seeking any form of chiropractic or physical manipulation. While Reiki has substantially reduced my pain levels, I had yet to experience the benefits of touch. However, Kathy has been my dear friend since childhood, and if I were to allow anyone to touch me in this fashion, it would be her. To accommodate my circumstance, she determined that chair massage might be the best option and customized her technique to suit my needs. Each movement seemed to release more tension, and as she proceeded, years of stored pain seemed to melt away. Tears were streaming down my cheeks as my body absorbed the profound treatment. I have loved Kathy for decades, have respected her professional dedication and supported her throughout her career as a healer. Nothing, however, prepared me for the intensity of this experience, and I can now say without hesitation that I am truly in awe of her amazing ability. Thank you, my dear friend, for sharing your tremendous talent! This was truly one of the best experiences of my Life, and will now be a regular part of my healing journey.
